COMMUNITYSOUTH BANK & TRUST CUTS RIBBON ON NEW ANDERSON OFFICE,
MAKES DONATION TO HOSPICE OF THE UPSTATE

Anderson, SC -- December 13, 2006 -- CommunitySouth Bank & Trust recently held its official ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its Anderson office at 1510 North Main Street in Anderson.

In attendance from CommunitySouth were C. Allan Ducker, III, Chief Executive Officer; David A. Miller, President & Chief Operating Officer; John W. Hobbs, Chief Financial Officer; Jay Davis, Senior Vice President & Anderson City Executive; and Myles Wilkes, Assistant Vice President & Anderson Branch Manager. Anderson Mayor Terence Roberts and Anderson Chamber of Commerce President Lee Luff were also present.

“We’re an Upstate bank,” said Ducker. “And being an Upstate bank, it is a natural fit to have a presence in Anderson, an integral part of the overall Upstate market. We are very excited to be in Anderson and look forward to serving the needs of Anderson’s families and businesses.”

“Just in the brief time that CommunitySouth has served Anderson, it is evident that our style of banking will be a natural fit for this community,” said Davis. “We, the Anderson team, are excited about the future and look forward to serving the needs of the Anderson residents and businesses.”

“The City of Anderson welcomes CommunitySouth into our community,” said Mayor Roberts.  “We appreciate the commitment that CommunitySouth has made to our city.”

Instead of the traditional red ribbon for the ceremony, CommunitySouth used ribbon fashioned from $20 bills. Once the ribbon was cut, Davis and Wilkes donated the money, $500 in $20 bills, to Hospice of the Upstate, an Anderson-based non-profit organization. Hospice of the Upstate provides high-quality care to terminally ill patients and their families and offers leadership and education regarding end-of-life issues.

"We appreciate CommunitySouth's generous contribution,” said Carol Kreson, Vice President of Development for Hospice of the Upstate.“It will help us care for patients who have no source of funding, and will positively impact families during a difficult time. We welcome CommunitySouth Bank & Trust to our community."

The Banks’ new Anderson office officially opened July 31st. The office features two flat screen televisions, a 24-hour ATM, drive-thru, night depository, safe deposit boxes, free business courier service, and the Bank’s signature refreshment center with free freshly baked cookies, hot coffee, and cold soft drinks and spring water.

The branch is open six days a week with both early morning and late evening hours, including Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
