Greer, SC – Oct. 29, 2009 – CommunitySouth Bank & Trust will host The Blood Connection’s Blood Mobile at its office in Greer on Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 2:15 to 4:30 p.m. in honor of Veterans Day.
“We really wanted to have an event in honor of our veterans,” said Branch Operations Manager Ashley Krueger, who is organizing the blood drive. “We invite all potential donors to stop by, have some refreshments, pick up an American flag and help save a few lives by donating blood.”
CommunitySouth’s Greer branch is located at 530 West Wade Hampton Boulevard near Memorial Drive Extension.
The Blood Connection, founded in 1979, is the largest non-profit, community blood center in the Upstate of South Carolina. It provides 100 percent of the volunteer blood supply to local hospitals. The Blood Connection operates centers in four Upstate counties and collects more than 85,000 blood units each year.
