COMMUNITYSOUTH BANK & TRUST NAMES ART TOMPKINS
VICE PRESIDENT & CONTROLLER

Upstate, SC -- September 12, 2007 -- CommunitySouth Bank & Trust (OTCBB: CBSO) today announced Art Tompkins has been named Vice President and Controller. 

Based in the Bank’s Easley headquarters, Tompkins is responsible for internal and external financial reporting, including filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), financial reports to the board of directors and executive team, and internal accounting functions. 

“We are very pleased that Art has joined CommunitySouth,” said John Hobbs, Chief Financial Officer of CommunitySouth. “Art’s vast experience will greatly benefit our Company.”

Tompkins has more than nine years of accounting experience, most recently as Chief Financial Officer and Controller with the C. Dan Joyner Company, Inc. in Greenville. Tompkins is currently pursuing his Masters in Business Administration from Clemson University and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Clemson University. A Certified Public Accountant, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Tompkins is active in the community and currently serves on several boards of directors, including the Alumni Association of the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics, the Wenwood Towns Homeowners Association as Vice President and Treasurer and the Daniel Square Condominium Association as Treasurer. A resident of Easley, Tompkins is originally from Dillon, SC.
