Upstate, SC -- April 7, 2008 -- CommunitySouth Bank & Trust (OTCBB: CBSO) today announced the promotions of Tracy Martin, Cindy Coleman, Erica Brewton, and Jennifer Kennedy.

Martin was promoted to Vice President and Community Banker. In her new position, Martin is responsible for developing, managing and enhancing business banking relationships in the greater Easley area by providing a full range of loan, deposit and ancillary services to clients. Martin joined CommunitySouth in March 2005 as Branch Manager for the Bank’s headquarters office in Easley. She brings more than 20 years of banking experience to her new position. Martin, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, is a resident of Easley.

Coleman was promoted to Branch Operations Manager of CommunitySouth’s headquarters office in Easley. In her new position Coleman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office, including sales and customer service, providing personalized banking services to individuals and businesses, and managing branch staff. Coleman joined the Bank in September 2006 as Customer Service Representative, and brings more than 11 years of banking experience to her new position. A resident of Easley, Coleman is active in the Meals on Wheels program.

Brewton was promoted to Branch Administration Assistant. In her new position, Brewton is responsible for assisting in the coordination of the Bank’s branches, including management reporting, branch training, audit review and staffing. Brewton joined the Bank in September 2007 as Senior Teller Supervisor of the Bank’s Greenville office on Laurens Road. She brings more than eight years of banking experience to her new position. A resident of Woodruff, Brewton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management and Business Management from Anderson University.

Kennedy was promoted to Teller Supervisor of the Bank’s Anderson office. In her new position, Kennedy is responsible for servicing customers, coaching the teller line, completing branch reports and audits, and assisting the branch operations manager in daily operations. Kennedy joined the Bank in March 2005 as Teller in the Easley headquarters office, and brings more than four years of banking experience to her new position. A resident of Easley, Kennedy is active in the United Way and the Meals on Wheels program and attended Greenville Technical College.
