Easley, SC -- January 30, 2008 -- CommunitySouth Bank & Trust (OTCBB: CBSO) recently participated in the United Way of Pickens County annual pledge drive, raising over $7,500 for the organization.
The Bank’s entire headquarters in Easley, 36 employees at the time, participated in the United Way pledge drive. They raised $7,708, a 57% increase over their 2007 donation. Additionally, over one-third of the employees were Fair Share givers.
The United Way is a non-profit organization that works to unify, fund, and support other non-profit agencies in the area to strengthen the health of and overcome obstacles within that community. The United Way provides resources and information about a variety of programs including financial assistance, healthcare, child care, emergency services, and senior services. Donations made to the United Way are allocated to these member agencies.
